Description of the RE Activities of Sun Home Energy Limited (SHEL) : Sun Home Energy Ltd (SHEL) was established and incorporated as a limited company in the year 2011 to accelerate dissemination of Solar Home System (SHS) across the country with the aim of supplementing vision of Bangladesh Government and that of world community at large for promotion of renewable energy thereby contributing to socio-economic wellbeing of the local stakeholders. SHEL started work with IDCOL as a PO from 2012 and implemented more than 12,700 SHS within 23 districts from 2012 to 2016.
SHEL started TR-Kabita programme from FY 2015-16 to till to date of 2020 in various Upazilla allocated by MoDMR assistance by IDCOL and already installed 12382 SHS and 1962 Solar Street lights as of to date of 2020.
Recently SHEL explorer a new window for implementing the Solar Irrigation Pump (SIP), financed by IDCOL and already completed 21 SIP at Thakurgoan & Panchogoar district in this FY-2019-20 and another 72 nos SIP are under process and awating for sanction for next year.
Very recently SHEL completed two no Intregation of SIP-Net-Metering on 15/9/2021.

Solar Home System : SHS (Solar Home System): • Installed 12750 SHS in 23 districts through 76 field office with 126 nos office staffs during 2011 to 2016 as a PO of IDCOL. • Implementing TR-Kabita programme Under MoDMR from 2015-16 FY till to date in various Upazillas allocated by IDCOL and already installed 12382 SHS as of to date of 2020.
Solar Irrigation : SIP (Solar Irrigation Pump): • Completed 21 SIP at Thakurgoan & Panchogar district financed IDCOL in 2019-20 FY. • 72 SIP field waiting to verify by IDCOL for further sanctioned in next FY.
NET Metering Program : Completed two nos Integration of SIP-NET Metering Program at Thakurgoan & Panchogoar district. 1.>SIP#19, Kandorpara under Akcha UP of Thakurgoan -Sader UZ in Thakurgoan district and another 2.>Borisinga under Aloyo khowa UP of Atwari UZ in Panchogohor district on 15/9/2021.
Solar Street Light : Solar Syreet Light: • Implementing TR-Kabita programme Under MoDMR from 2015-16 FY till to date in various Upazilla allocated by IDCOL and already installed 1962 Solar Street Lights as of to date of 2020.
